Paul Collins - Head of Risk Management, Ecclesiastical Insurance Group
Paul Collins, ACII Chartered Insurer, CDipAF, DipSHWW is Head of Risk Management at Ecclesiastical Insurance Ireland. With over 35 years in the insurance profession, he has a wealth of experience across a range of roles including underwriting, claims, loss adjusting, risk surveying and enterprise risk management.
Brian Honan, CEO, BH Consulting
Brian is a highly experienced information security professional and is recognised as one of the foremost experts in cybersecurity. Over his career, he has managed and delivered information security projects and services to organisations of varying sizes, from SMEs to large companies and multinationals.
He has worked extensively with Government departments and agencies and is a trusted advisor for a number of bodies and think tanks, at national and international levels, in the area of cyber security. Brian is a former special advisor on cyber security to Europol's Cyber Crime Centre (EC3), and has acted as an expert advisor to the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA). Brian is also the founder and leader of IRISSCERT which is Ireland's first Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT).
Brian regularly presents at various industry conferences around the globe, has authored a number of books, and is a regular contributor to various industry publications.
Stephanie Manahan, CEO, Central Remedial Clinic (CRC)
Stephanie took up the position in June 2014 and was central to establishing new management structures and robust governance for the organisation. She is leading out on a transformational change programme for the CRC, was central to a new strategic vision for the organisation and is overseeing the implementation of the Strategic Plan for the organisation.
Stephanie has worked in healthcare for almost 30 years following qualifying as an Occupational Therapist in 1990. She has experience in a variety of service settings including the statutory and voluntary sector in both the UK and Ireland. She was Deputy Hospital Manager at Connolly Hospital, Dublin and previously held the position of Director of Allied Health & Social Care professions. She has experience in the Acute, Community, Mental Health, Disability, and Not for Profit settings.
Stephanie holds a BSc from Trinity College Dublin, an MSc from the University of London, and a Certificate in Change Management from the Institute of Public Administration. In 2015 Stephanie was awarded the 30% club Scholarship to undertake the Professional Diploma in Corporate Governance with the Michael Smurfit Business School in University College Dublin.
In 2017 Stephanie was invited by the Charity Regulator to sit on The Consultative Panel on the Governance of Charitable Organisations. Stephanie is a mentor for the HSE Women in Leadership initiative and is a mentor for the IMI/30% Club mentorship programme.
David Murphy - Assistant Commissioner, Data Protection Commission
David Murphy is an Assistant Commissioner with the Data Protection Commission, with responsibility for Consultation with the Health and Voluntary Sectors.
Having joined the Commission in 2016, David has worked in consultative engagement, providing best practice guidance and advice to organisations across the public and private sectors on compliance with the data protection legislative frameworks. David acts as a member of the European Data Protection Board, and is a frequent conference and event speaker, on behalf of the Commission.
Prior to joining the Commission, David gained experience in data governance and record management in the Local Authority sector, with Dublin City Council's Law Department.
Alan Tyrrell - Managing Director, Teneo
With almost 20 years of experience in the core areas of corporate reputation, C-suite support, and issues management, Alan helps Teneo clients resolve critical business issues with sound counsel grounded in strategic and results driven communications advisory.
Alan is a member of the Teneo Ireland leadership team working with clients across a range of sectors from insurance to retail and technology to materials.
With almost 20 years experience, he has worked at senior level in-house and in agency having worked with PSG for a number of years before it was acquired by Teneo.
Alan's sectoral expertise includes insurance, food, banking, retail and professional services, among others. Alan is also a non-Executive Board member with the Glencree Centre for Peace & Reconciliation (www.glencree.ie). An avid learner, Alan holds a Diploma in Company Direction from the IoD, a Masters in Strategic Management and a primary degree in business studies. He has also completed training with the Irish Stock Exchange, the Irish Management Institute, and has also lectured at Masters of Journalism level on the topic of Corporate Communications.
