Trustees News

Trustees play a vital role in providing strategic guidance and governance, ensuring charities can deliver essential services to communities across Ireland. Here we chat to Isobel Solan, a Board Member with spunout.

Can you tell us a little about you?

I’m currently a law student in Maynoth University. I have a strong interest in public policy, digital regulation, and youth advocacy. I am also a Board Member with spunout, Ireland’s leading youth information charity, and I play an active role in supporting governance, strategy, and youth engagement initiatives.

What inspired you to become a Charity Trustee?

I’ve met so many people through it and they all have such interesting stories, and I’m able to learn from them every time I meet them.

What does being a Chairty Trustee mean to you?

To me, it’s about respect. I have to respect the charity, which I do. I’m incredibly respectful of the work that we do and the people who contribute to that work.

What one word would you use to sum up being a Trustee?

Love
