The Spirit of Giving: Ecclesiastical Ireland Celebrates 12 Days of Charity This Christmas

Benefact Group’s Movement for Good Awards is giving away over €120,000 as part of its annual 12 Days of Giving Christmas campaign

Irish people are being urged to nominate a charity that makes a difference this Christmas, as Ecclesiastical Ireland, proudly part of the Benefact Group, are giving £1,000 (or euro equivalent) to ten charities each day for twelve days. For these twelve days in the lead up to the festive period, 120 charities in total will benefit from a financial boost.

Nominations are now open, with draws taking place every weekday between 1st – 16th December. Nominating is easy, using the online form at www.movementforgood.com.

Winners are drawn at random with every charity nominated in with a chance of winning a vital donation this Christmas.

Recent winners include The Gary Kelly (Drogheda) Cancer Support Centre, Dillon Quirke Foundation in Cashel, Limerick Animal Welfare and the Irish Girl Guides - each received the euro equivalent of £1,000 in the draw following nominations from members of the public.

Ahead of this Christmas giving initiative, David Lane, Managing Director of Ecclesiastical Ireland said: “We’re delighted to once again launch our 12 Days of Giving campaign and invite people across Ireland to nominate the charities that mean the most to them. At Ecclesiastical Ireland, proudly part of the Benefact Group, giving back is at the heart of what we do — and this initiative is a wonderful way to share the spirit of Christmas with organisations making a real difference in our communities. Every nomination helps to highlight the incredible work being done by charities right across the country, and we’re proud to play a small part in supporting them during this special time of year.”
