The Cuppa for Kare initiative aims to raise funds for Kare to expand and enhance the services it provides to children and adults with intellectual disabilities across 40+ locations.

Kare’s Fundraising Manager, Corrinne Concannon, explained how to get involved in Cuppa for Kare: “We’re extremely grateful for the fundraising efforts of our local communities and are delighted to support anyone hosting a Cuppa for Kare event. Signing up is simple – just visit www.kare.ie/cuppaforkare and register your details so we can send you a Welcome Pack with all the information and materials you need to start planning your event. We will also be running a special Cuppa for Kare raffle with some fantastic prizes to be won.”

“Coffee mornings are a lovely way to bring people together while supporting a cause that makes a real difference,” said Darren Smullen, Interim CEO of Kare. “No matter where you choose to host, at home, in the workplace or your local community, every event helps the people we support. We’re very grateful for the support we receive and look forward to seeing communities come together again this year.”

Kare was founded in 1967 and today it supports more than 1,400 individuals and their families with a range of services including day, residential, respite, outreach and employment support. Kare is also the lead agency for the Kildare West Wicklow Children’s Network Disability Team, patron of St Anne’s and St Mark’s schools and runs an early years pre-school in Newbridge.
