Eason & ISPCC Announce New Charity Partnership

Book retailer Eason have announced ISPCC as its new charity partner for the next two years.

Eason will support the charity through a variety of fundraising and volunteering initiatives as well as through collection mechanisms in-store and on-line.

The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC) is a renowned Irish charity dedicated to protecting childhood and enhancing the lives of children and young people. It provides a suite of services, supports and programmes to children and families and is best known for its free, confidential, 24-hour support line – Childline.

Commenting on the new charity partnership, Liam Hanly, Managing Director of Eason, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with ISPCC whose charity work is truly inspirational. Like Eason, ISPCC have a rich Irish heritage - with both organisations formed as far back as the 1880s - and this coupled with shared values and a commitment to bettering children’s lives makes this the perfect partnership for us. We’re really looking forward to working closely with the great team at ISPCC.”

John Church, CEO, ISPCC said: “To be chosen by Eason, one of Ireland's most loved and respected brands as their first charity partner is a tremendous honour for all of us at Childline by ISPCC. Our mission at ISPCC is simple - we are here to protect childhood. Together, we know we can make a real and lasting difference to the lives of children, who need us now more than ever. With the support of Eason and their staff we have the opportunity to help create better, happier and safer lives for children and young people all over Ireland. We are absolutely thrilled!"
