Ecclesiastical Insurance and Benefact Group are today launching the 2024 Movement for Good Awards, a campaign set to inject another €1 million into charities across Ireland and the UK.
Entering its sixth year, the Movement for Good Awards opens its doors for nominations, providing an opportunity for charities to receive a €1,000 boost. This initiative, having already donated over €5 million since its inception in 2019, is committed to making a positive impact by supporting a diverse range of causes.
Nominations are now officially open and can be submitted quickly and easily at www.movementforgood.com. Randomly selected winners will be announced, and the more nominations a charity receives, the greater its chances of being chosen.
In addition to the €1,000 grants, special draws will allocate €5,000 to charities within specific sectors:
• Animals: 19-23 February 2024
• Health: 22-26 April 2024
• Youth: 17-21 June 2024
• Environment: 12-16 August 2024
• Arts & Culture: 21-25 October 2024
David Lane, Managing Director of Ecclesiastical Insurance Ireland, proudly part of the Benefact Group, says: “Charities play a pivotal role in not only transforming lives but also contributing significantly to the economy and the fabric of society. Through our Movement for Good Awards, we aim to empower these organisations that tirelessly work to create positive change. The €1 million donation underscores our commitment to supporting the invaluable impact charities have on both individuals and the broader community."
"Our Movement for Good Awards help charities change lives for the better, and we understand that, for many charities, €1,000 can make a real difference. We were able to help a number of Irish charities in 2023, and our commitment is to continue with our charitable donations this year.”
In 2023, Ecclesiastical has provided support to various Irish-based organisations, ranging from smaller and volunteer led organisations like Bat Rehabilitation Ireland, Shannon’s Hopeline, Meals on Wheels Tralee and Drogheda Animal Rescue, to larger charities and non-for-profit organisations such as Jigsaw, Irish Girl Guides, Kids’ Own Publishing Partnership and Irish Baroque Orchestra. Nominations for the 2024 campaign are no open.
Movement for Good is funded by EIO plc, part of the Benefact Group.
