154 charities to receive grants from Late Late Toy Show Appeals

Many Cii members benefit from Toy Show Appeal Funding

OVER 1.1 MILLION children and their families are set to benefit from donations raised during the Late Late Toy Show Appeal last year.

In November 2021, 1.8 million viewers helped to raise over €6.6 million, which will now be used to support the work of a number of children’s charities and community groups across the island of Ireland.

The public donations will help more than one million children and their families, with a total of 154 charities set to receive grants – an increase from 55 last year.

The charities that will recieve grants include many members of Cii with the Jack and Jill Foundation, Barnardos, the ISPCC, the Irish Wheelchair Association, and Enable Ireland among them.

In partnership with the Community Foundation for Ireland, the money was raised through the programme’s appeal on the last weekend in November, which saw 1.8 million Toy Show viewers making donations.
