Una joins Crann with a wealth of leadership experience in the charity sector, a passion for leading organisations and a strong vision for the future. She succeeds Padraig Mallon, who, after 8 years of dedicated service to Crann, looks forward to a well-earned retirement.
Kate Jarvey, Crann's Founder & Board Chair, said of Una's appointment, “I am very pleased to welcome Una to the organisation. After an extensive search led by CCI Executive Search, the Board appointed Una with the knowledge and confidence that her experience leading charitable organisations combined with the insight and energy she brings to the role will ensure the continued success of the Crann Centre”.
Under Una's leadership, Crann will continue to grow and evolve to meet increasing demand for its services, supporting children, adults and families living with neuro-physical disabilities and those requiring neuro-rehabilitation. Una’s focus will also be on ensuring Crann remains a strong, sustainable organisation, ready to meet the needs of the individuals and families it serves well into the future. To ensure a seamless transition, Padraig will work closely with Una until the end of the year to ensure continuity as she takes the reins and leads the organisation into its next chapter.
Una added, “I am very grateful to Kate and the Board for this opportunity to lead the Crann Centre. I am honoured to continue the work Padraig has begun and work alongside an incredible team in service to our current and future clients. I will dedicate my efforts to keeping our clients, their families and carers at the centre of everything Crann does, meeting the growing demand we are experiencing and achieving the funding required to maintain Crann’s renowned whole-family services.”
