Trustees’ Week is a chance to say a huge thank you to the thousands of volunteers who serve as charity trustees and help oversee Ireland’s 11,500 registered charities.
Traditionally held in November, Charity Trustees’ Week will move to a new date in 2027: 22–26 February 2027. This change reflects the fact that November is a particularly busy time for many charities.
The next Charity Trustees’ Week will be especially significant as it celebrates its 10th anniversary. A very special programme of events to recognise, celebrate, and support the vital work of charity trustees across Ireland is currently being planned.
To help shape the programme, the Charities Regulator would love to hear from trustees about the topics, formats, and event types they would find most valuable. Please complete this short survey by 18 June 2026:
Charity Trustees’ Week is organised in partnership by the Charities Regulator, Boardmatch Ireland, Carmichael, Charities Institute Ireland, Dóchas, Pobal, The Wheel, and Volunteer Ireland.
Carol Jordan, Memberships and Partnerships Lead at Charities Institute Ireland, said: “Charity Trustees’ Week is an important opportunity to recognise the immense contribution trustees make to charities across Ireland. We are proud to be involved once again in this collaborative week, helping to celebrate, support and strengthen the people who give their time, expertise and leadership so generously.”
