Cii warmly welcomes the appointment of Kieran O’Donovan as the new Chief Executive Officer of Belong To, Ireland’s national organisation supporting LGBTQ+ young people.
Kieran joins Belong To from his role as Head of Client Service at renowned youth-culture agency, THINKHOUSE, bringing with him 18 years of experience in strategic leadership, brand innovation and a fresh and practical perspective to the NGO sector. A proud Cork native, his career has been defined by his ability to connect with youth audiences and navigate complex digital environments; experience that will be particularly valuable as Belong To enters its next strategic phase.of supporting LGBTQ+ young people across Ireland.
Commenting on the appointment, Patricia Carey, Chairperson of Belong To, highlighted the significance of Kieran’s leadership at a critical time for young people across Ireland:
“Kieran’s expertise is a game-changer for Belong To. At a time when young people need to feel more connected and supported than ever, his ability to build authentic communities will ensure our message of inclusion reaches every corner of Ireland. As our new CEO, he brings the vision we need to make sure no LGBTQ+ young person feels they have to walk their journey alone.”
Kieran will take up the role on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
