Have Your Say: Help Shape Ireland’s Next Community & Voluntary Sector Strategy

The Government is developing a new five-year strategy to guide its partnership with the community, voluntary and charity sectors—and your voice matters.

Following the Sustainable, Inclusive and Empowered Communities 2019–2024 strategy, which helped shape government policy and support over the past five years, a new successor framework is now being developed. This next strategy will build on the progress made, while addressing the current realities and future needs of the sector.

As part of this process, the Department of Rural and Community Development has launched a national consultation to hear directly from organisations like yours.

Cii strongly encourages all members to take part in this important survey:

Your input will help shape policy on:

  • Sustainable funding and sector capacity
  • Community participation and local development
  • Charities’ role in service delivery
  • Governance, volunteering, and philanthropy

The deadline for submissions is 15 August 2025.

By contributing, you’ll ensure the perspectives of Irish charities are represented in this vital national strategy. Please share the link with your colleagues and networks.
