The revised Charities (Amendment) Bill 2023 was published just before Christmas – link here.
When the original Heads of the Bill was published in 2022, we made a comprehensive joint submission with The Wheel, supported by Mason Hayes & Curran and we appeared before the Oireachtas Committee.
The work to review the revised Bill is already underway and we look forward to advocating on behalf of members to ensure that this draft legislation incorporates the points raised in our submission, that it is proportionate and ensures that the charity sector can continue to deliver all the vital services that our communities, economy and society want and need today.
