M&R Digital Benchmarks Comes to Ireland

Unlocking Digital Insights: Irish Charities Get Exclusive Access to M&R Digital Benchmarks for Comprehensive Campaign Analysis.

We all want to know how our campaigns compare to the rest of the market, but all too often there just isn’t enough reliable and robust data out there to measure ourselves against.

Well for any Irish charities working in digital fundraising that’s about to change.

Ask Direct have partnered with M&R and Rally to bring M&R Digital Benchmarks to Ireland for the first time.

You’ve probably heard of the M&R Digital Benchmarks study.

M&R have been running the study in the US for the last 20 years, and - in partnership with Rally - for the last few years in the UK too.

With the digital picture for charities changing at an eye watering pace, the study is an excellent way of establishing how you and the overall sector are doing in digital. As we all know, better data helps us all make better decisions.

And there is a real lack of reliable data in the Irish charity sector.

The study analyses data right across the digital ecosystem, from web, to social, digital ads to email and presents comprehensive, accurate benchmark data that will help you make better digital decisions. Some of the benchmarks covered include:

  • Email engagement and unsubscribe rates.
  • Where charities are spending their digital advertising budgets and the returns from that spend.
  • Donation page conversion metrics.
  • Average values for cash and RG gifts.
  • Cost per donor & cost per new email supporter.
  • And lots more. Check out the 2023 UK Study to see all the analysis.

Now, there’s a bit of small print.

M&R need at least 20 charities, from diverse sectors, to run an Ireland-specific analysis. If fewer than that sign up the comparison will be on a European, rather than Ireland level.

The cost to participate is €1,400 (billed directly by M&R) and if you want to take part you need to confirm by the end of December.

Every Irish charity that takes part in the study and supplies data will be sent a PDF report that includes all their data points and compares them to the European and UK topline results… as well as to Irish topline results, provided we get the requisite number of participants.
