Directors PPSN now required for CRO filings

From 11 June 2023, in line with  the Companies (Corporate Enforcement Authority) Act 2021, the CRO will require a director’s PPS number to be included in the following forms:

• Form A1- An application to incorporate a company.
• Form B1 - An annual return of a company (all directors will need to provide a ppsn).
• Form B10 - A notification of a change of director and/or secretary, or in their particulars.
• Form B69 - A notification by individual that he/she has ceased to be a director or secretary.

The PPS number will be used for identity verification to ensure that the company director is alive and is a natural person. If the submitted PPS number, name, or date of birth do not exactly match the records held by the Department of Social Protection, the submission may be rejected.

Delays in the return being accepted may cause your Annual Return to become overdue.
