Charity Trustees' Week 2022 Celebrations

Charity Trustees’ Week celebrates the important contribution that Trustees make to the charity sector. Charity Trustees’ Week is hosted in partnership with the Charities Regulator, Boardmatch Ireland, Carmichael, Charities Institute Ireland, Dóchas, Pobal, The Wheel, and Volunteer Ireland. This year, over 20 events were held to suit trustees from every type of charity, between Monday, 14 November and Friday, 18 November 2022. There are currently almost 11,500 registered charities in Ireland with over 76,000 charity trustees.

Charity Trustees’ Week is a great big thank you to charity trustees across Ireland for the important and tireless work that they carry out throughout the year. As well as celebrating the work of charity trustees, the week’s events were designed to provide support and insights to help board trustees fulfill their roles and responsibilities, while also creating greater awareness and understanding among the public of the important role of charity trustees.

Charities Institute Ireland worked with The Communications Clinic on two events. Meeting Skills & Minute Taking webinar and an in-person workshop - Presenting to Boards both presented by Barry McLoughlin. These two events were specifically designed to help to develop confidence in meeting preparation, planning, and structure. Providing delegates with the tools to enable them to deliver measurably better outcomes for their organisations.
