In partnership with Hayes Solicitors, Charities Institute Ireland have published guidance on the EU Directive on Working Conditions, which is due to take effect from Aug 1st 2022.
The Irish government haven’t yet implemented legislation to give effect to the Directive but it would be prudent for employers to review template employment contracts and employee handbooks to prepare for compliance.
In the charity sector where for some employment may start as a voluntary or ad hoc arrangement it may be time to make sure that review systems are in place to ensure that compliance obligations are met.
The document highlights some of the key changes of which employers will need to be aware.
It can be read in full via Charities Institute Ireland and EU Directive on Transparency and Predictability of Working Condition
