The Face to Face Fundraising forum is a peer to peer network, focused on direct recruitment fundraising including street and door. We will discuss and challenge each other on best practice, share our current difficulties/successes in the market plus we will revue data and the user experience inside the Street & Door Diary Local Management System (LMS). We also aim to provide the platform for open communications between charities and third party agencies conducting face to face fundraising so all users of the LMS are working towards best practice.
Everybody is welcome, whether you are new to your role or have years of experience. This forum is a safe space to exchange ideas and insights, share highs and lows, and grow your network.
As the saying goes – “One good conversation can shift the direction of change forever”…Linda Lambert

11:40 Forum Updates & Discussion topics
11:50 Guest Speaker: "Face to Face Outside the Box" - Dominic Will.
Dominic Will, managing director of face-to-face fundraising agency Gather Campaigns, leads the business across the UK and Ireland, and most recently into India. Dom previously founded and ran the award-winning F2F agency HOME Fundraising and has worked within the charity community for over 25 years. Earlier in his career he managed corporate partnerships at a major UK charity and devised employee engagement programmes for blue chip companies while working with Charities Aid Foundation. He is a committed advocate of the charity sector and professional fundraising and has previously served as a Trustee of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising in the UK.
Dom is passionate about the importance of one-to-one channels for helping charities engage with the public. He highlights the need to recognise the value for brand building and of sparking meaningful connection for long term stewardship journeys that this personable connection can offer, over and above immediate financial returns.
When social distancing rules were introduced in March 2020 and the world changed because of the Covid pandemic, F2F fundraising came to a sudden and abrupt halt, leaving invested charities, agencies and their fundraisers in crisis. Dom’s focus at that time was to protect fundraiser jobs and pivoted his agency teams into public outreach work, supporting local authorities in distributing and collecting coronavirus test kits. Since then, he has developed a dedicated public outreach service, promoting and sharing public messaging across various health issues including heart disease and mental healthcare. In resuming F2F fundraising in the post-lockdown environment Dom has focused on innovation and developing new ways for engaging charity supporters.
