2022 has been an unpredictable year so far with a number of forces at play in financial markets which have impacted global equities and bonds. Inflation has become a key concern over the last number of months and the possibility of it pushing some large economies into recession is also weighing on markets and sentiment.
Against this backdrop, our CIO Donough Kilmurray will discuss our outlook across the various markets and how our investment team are navigating these uncertain times.
Suzanne Keogh will provide insights on the various issues which our clients are currently dealing with from a business and decision-making perspective in the current environment and what the institutional consulting team are doing to assist.
About our speakers:
Donough Kilmurray – Davy CIO
Donough joined Davy in 2019 as Chief Investment Officer. He has overall responsibility for the Davy investment offering, including investment strategy, selection, portfolio construction and management. Prior to joining Davy, he spent 19 years in the Investment Management Division of Goldman Sachs in New York and London. From 2008 he was the Head of Investment Strategy for the EMEA Wealth Management business. In this role he was responsible for advising and overseeing the management of portfolios for private and institutional clients across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Donough joined the New York office of Goldman Sachs in 2000 and became a Managing Director in 2008. A CFA charterholder, he earned a PhD in Mathematics and an MS in Finance from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) in 2000, and graduated from University College Dublin with an MSc in Mathematics in 1993.
Suzanne Keogh – Business Unit Director, Institutional Consulting
Suzanne has over 20 years’ experience in the investment management industry. Following two years in London working with JP Morgan Investment Management Inc. within Client Services, she joined AIBIM in September 2000 as a Portfolio Manager. Suzanne has considerable experience in managing client portfolios with the emphasis on charity and institutional entities. Suzanne graduated in 1997 from University College Dublin with a degree in Business and Legal Studies. Suzanne joined Davy in 2014 as part of the acquisition of Prescient (who had acquired AIBIM in 2012). She holds a Certificate in Charity Law, Trusteeship and Governance from the Law Society of Ireland and is a member of the Institute of Banking in Ireland. Suzanne has also completed the CFA Certificate in ESG Investment.
