The Direct Marketing and Individual Giving Forum has been running for several years. It is an opportunity for those working in direct marketing in charities to get together and discuss common issues and topics. There are currently over 160 members from 78 different fundraising organisations. The Forum also serves as a long email list to which members can reply and ask questions or share useful information.
During the meetings we discuss challenges and opportunities currently facing the sector and provide feedback on different suppliers or marketing channels. Guest speakers from across the fundraising world along with regular contributors to the Forum usually present the main feature in the form of a panel. We have now also added a peer-learning session entitled ‘In The Limelight’ whereby a recent award-winning campaign is presented to the group.
