Our office is located in Dublin 2 52–55 Lower Camden Street

The job: Working as Receptionist you will promote Concern as an organization worthy of support through providing an efficient, effective, and friendly reception service to Concern visitors, staff, and callers. The receptionist will also provide administrative support to the HR Department. 

If you join us, this is what you will be doing:

  • Maintain and service an efficient and effective reception area.
  • Welcome and receive all visitors to Concern and ensure they are directed to the relevant person.
  • Manage Concern's phone switch in a professional and friendly manner, forwarding calls and taking messages as appropriate.
  • Receive and receipt donations from members of the general public.
  • Deal with all front desk general enquiries including information on fundraising activities, volunteering opportunities, and overseas operations and projects and referring callers to the Concern website where appropriate;
  • Promote and sell Concern gifts processing all money transactions accurately.
  • Coordinate and manage the receipt and dispatch of domestic and foreign couriers.
  • Maintain and update a bank of central information, contact details, mailing lists etc. as necessary for the reception area.
  • Liaise with a range of suppliers, service providers and facilities staff to ensure services are maintained efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Department as required.
  • Open the office daily and monitor security cameras and security for the front and rear entrances to Camden Street.
  • Assist with the Purchase Order process.
  • Managing and creating access cards for new starters, leavers and visitors and producing reports as required.
  • Assisting with Health and Safety coordination in relation First aid and Fire Safety.
  • Issuing of contractors permits to work when attending site.
  • Ad hoc administration tasks as requested by other departments.

Skills you will bring:

  • Minimum 1 year's experience working in a busy reception or administrative role.
  • Leaving certificate or equivalent
  • Excellent communication, administration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility.
  • Professional manner and the ability to deal effectively with staff at all levels
  • Experience in handling cash.

You will report to the Head of Facilities and work with all Concern HQ Directorates

The full-time salary range for the Receptionist is €24,224 to €28,498 (band 1). This would be pro-rated according to the agreed working pattern. This is a 1-year fixed-term contract.
