Job location: Dublin (hybrid working 2 days office/3 days remote)         

Pay Band: 5 (€49,905 – 58,711)

Contract: 3 Year Fixed Term Contract

 

Job Purpose: To lead fundraising innovation for Concern to generate additional unrestricted income from new and existing audiences. The role will focus on implementing and embedding our new innovation process, leading insight and ideation cycles and project managing the testing and piloting of new products.

The role will require collaboration with fundraising teams and the wider organisation so would best suit someone with excellent communication, stakeholder management and teamwork skills.

As fundraising innovation is a new function in Concern, the successful applicant will need to enjoy solving complex problems, exploring new ways of working, and driving change.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teams across D&F and the wider organisation to implement and embed Concern's newly developed innovation process
  • Lead insight cycles, including market research, audience analysis and internal requirements gathering.
  • Run ideation workshops with key stakeholders, including external participants when required.
  • Run design sprints and take ownership of the development of product prototypes, working in collaboration with relevant stakeholders where necessary.
  • Develop and execute testing plans for prototypes, considering the full supporter journey and ensuring measurement criteria/metrics are in place.
  • Conduct analysis and undertake a review of completed tests to determine which products are piloted.
  • Develop business cases for further investment in successful prototypes.
  • Take ownership of the development of successful prototypes to a live product for piloting.
  • Lead the delivery of innovation pilots, ensuring all aspects of the supporter journey are considered, relevant stakeholders are engaged where required, and clear metrics, targets and KPIs are set at the outset.
  • Manage a smooth handover of successful pilots to the relevant landing teams.
  • Provide support to landing teams to rollout successful products, where necessary.
  • Manage the fundraising innovation budget
  • Provide required reporting on investment for prototyped and piloted product performance.
  • Keep up to date on latest innovations and trends

 

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:

  • Understanding of audience-led approaches to innovation, such as Design Thinking methodology.
  • Experience of delivering innovation and/or new product and proposition development.
  • Excellent relationship building, negotiation, communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent problem solver who is not afraid to pivot based on stakeholder feedback and organisational needs.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets
  • Proactive individual with ability to drive delivery and change
  • Experience delivering multi-department or cross organisational projects
  • Experience in audience research
  • Budget management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to organise themselves and others
  • Agency and supplier management experience
  • Data analysis skills

 

Desirable:

  • Fundraising experience highly desirable
  • Track record of delivering change within an organisation
  • Proven ability to manage and make recommendations about a portfolio of activity in a dynamic environment, with often changing and competing priorities.
  • Experience in audience segmentation and targeting strategies
  • Knowledge of Concern's work and programmes
  • Passionate about ending extreme poverty
