About the Role

You'll be joining a dedicated and passionate fundraising team that thrives on collaboration, creativity, and a shared commitment to making a real difference in the world. Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Special Projects, the Senior Fundraising Manager (Philanthropy and Partnerships) plays an integral role in leading GOAL's fundraising efforts in Ireland. The role will focus on driving income and growth for GOAL in the following areas:

  • Trusts and Foundations
  • Legacy Giving
  • Major Gifts
  • Corporate Partnerships (relationship management of 2 x key corporate partnerships)
     

Key Responsibilities

Trusts & Foundations

  • Identify, research, and cultivate new funding opportunities from institutional and private foundations.
  • Lead the development of compelling funding proposals and grant applications.
  • Manage a portfolio of existing foundation relationships, ensuring timely reporting and stewardship.

Major Gifts

  • Develop and implement a major donor strategy to grow high-value individual giving.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with existing and prospective major donors.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and board members to leverage networks and secure transformational gifts.

Legacy Giving

  • Design and deliver a legacy giving strategy to inspire long-term support.
  • Develop marketing materials and supporter journeys to promote gifts in wills.
  • Provide guidance and support to donors considering legacy contributions.

Corporate Partnerships

  • Manage and grow relationships with two key corporate partners, ensuring mutual value and impact.
  • Identify and pursue new strategic corporate partnership opportunities.
  • Deliver high-quality account management, reporting, and engagement activities

People Management

  • Effectively manage 2 direct reports to successfully deliver on their areas of accountability
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to support team performance and longer-term growth and development.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record in a similar senior fundraising role, ideally within the international development or non-profit sector.
  • Proven background of delivering on financial targets and generating revenue
  • Demonstrated success in securing significant income from trusts, foundations, major donors, and corporate partners.
  • Strong proposal writing, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • A proactive networker with an existing portfolio of relevant contacts and relationships (highly desirable).
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate across teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, team working and influencing skills;
