In this public-facing role, you'll engage directly with supporters – both over the phone and in person – inspiring them to make a lasting impact by giving regularly. You'll help deliver successful telefundraising campaigns, engage visitors at the shelter, and represent the DSPCA with warmth, professionalism, and integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engage in face-to-face conversations with visitors on-site, inspiring them to become long-term monthly donors.
  • Follow up with donors to confirm pledges and ensure accurate, timely data entry in our CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Help deliver and monitor telefundraising campaigns, including assisting with scripts, targeting, and monitoring results.
  • Meet or exceed weekly targets for donor acquisition and retention, with a focus on quality and long-term value.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential donor information in accordance with data protection legislation and financial best practices.
  • Represent the DSPCA with professionalism and positivity, acting as an ambassador for our mission and values
  • Provide general administrative support, including reporting, supporting campaigns, and assisting with donor communications as needed.

Requirements

  • A positive, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
  • Confidence in engaging people in conversation and motivating them to act
  • Resilience and determination to achieve fundraising goals
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Experience in customer service, sales, or fundraising (especially face-to-face or telemarketing) is a major advantage
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • A genuine passion for animal welfare and the mission of the DSPCA
