Temporary (Maternity Cover), Full Time

Dogs Trust is currently seeking to recruit an Accounts Payable Administrator with a friendly, positive, and proactive attitude to join our Finance and Office Team.

About the Role

The Accounts Payable Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of purchase ledger invoices, helping to facilitate smooth and efficient payment operations. This role also involves providing financial and administrative support to the Finance and Office Team.

Key responsibilities include

•Entering supplier invoice details onto the system and ensuring they are routed to the correct budget holder for approval.

•Acting as the first point of contact for external supplier queries and internal budget holder inquiries related to invoices and payments.

•Managing the accounts payable inbox and handling supplier/vendor enquiries.

•Assisting in the preparation of regular payment runs and supporting external audits.

•Ensuring compliance checks are completed for new vendors or changes to bank details.

•Reconciling supplier statements and maintaining accurate records.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

•Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance role within a busy office environment.

•Strong numerical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

•Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to tight deadlines.

•Great teamworking skills with a proactive and positive approach.

•Strong verbal and written communication skills to handle queries professionally and efficiently.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
