Job Title: Fundraising Campaign Coordinator

Contract: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week

Location: Our offices are in Stillorgan, Co. Dublin, with options for Ireland or UK home-based remote working

Reports to: Fundraising Manager

Background:

At St John of God Foundation, we are dedicated to raising funds to enrich the lives of children and adults living with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges, both across the island of Ireland and abroad. A large percentage of the money we raise each year comes from individual supporters.

The Role:

We are hiring a Campaign Coordinator to join our small and friendly team, to provide strong operational support to drive income generation from various streams.

The role will support the delivery of a range of recruitment and retention campaigns across multiple channels. As such, this is an exciting role for someone in the early stages of their fundraising career to join our ambitious and growing team.

Liaison:

Internal – Fundraising, Supporter Care, Comms, Finance, Operations/Programmes

External – Suppliers for creative, copy writing, data services, digital marketing, print

 

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising Campaigns and Project Management:

  • Manage activities and processes to recruit new supporters and retain and develop existing supporters
  • By working closely with the Fundraising Manger and rest of the Public Fundraising Team to deliver specific campaigns, including; reactivation and upgrade, cash appeals, tax, raffle, legacy, and recruitment activities
  • These campaigns will be delivered across various channels including; direct mail, digital, telemarketing, face to face
  • Play a key role in the development of a welcome and stewardship programme, and ensure this is reviewed regularly to ensure donors are retained and engaged
  • Manage third party suppliers and internal stakeholders and project manage campaigns ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
  • Develop content gathering and creative briefs

 

CRM, Data and Supporter Care:

  • Work with Supporter Services colleagues to ensure the highest possible standard of data quality on our CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Work closely with the Fundraising Manager and CRM System Manager to target individuals appropriately and help manage data selections for campaigns
  • Generate results and end-of-campaign reviews
  • Keep up to date with GDPR legislation
  • Ensure thank you and welcome processes are implemented and that thank you communications are kept relevant and up to date
  • Provide additional support to the Supporter Services team during busy campaign periods

Other

  • Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time

 

Experience/Skills:

  • Experience project managing direct marketing campaigns from beginning to end, ideally with a donor/customer retention objective
  • Understanding of donor/customer journeys and how they are implemented both offline and online
  • Proficiency in core digital marketing platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), with experience in managing budgets and achieving ROI goals
  • Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing trends and best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Robust, confident, 'can-do' attitude that thrives on challenges and remains calm under pressure
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines, and managing multiple projects/campaigns simultaneously
  • Be target driven & focused on results
  • An interest in the challenges facing people with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges and a desire to enable individuals to achieve their full potential
  • Knowledge of Fundraising Code of Conduct and GDPR
  • Experience of using a CRM system (ideally Salesforce)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Copywriting talent/experience

 

Terms and Conditions:

  • Salary - €34,000-41,000 / £29,000-34,000
  • 25 days holiday per year  
  • Pension options available after 6-month probation period
