Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, Jigsaw's Corporate Fundraising Officer will be a central member of an award winning, dynamic, fast paced, innovative and growing team, who's shared drive and ambition has seen a 450% increase in fundraised income over the past four years.

This person will lead on a number of key priority areas across Jigsaw's fundraising strategy, including supporting the management and retention of our existing corporate partnerships. Researching, approaching, and recruiting new corporate partners. Developing new innovate and engaging fundraising campaigns for companies and their employees. Supporting the implementation of our strategy to increase income from grant giving philanthropic organisations.

This is a full-time, permanent role, subject to the successful completion of the probationary period.

 

Who we are

Jigsaw is Ireland's leading youth mental charity and is committed to advancing young people's mental health and to developing supportive communities by providing a range of primary care services and supports across the Republic of Ireland.

With the support of the HSE (Mental Health), the Sláintecare Integration Fund and a range of public, private and community and individual funders, we deliver a suite of free primary care mental health services and supports for young people and adults including:

  • delivering free, one-to-one, primary care therapeutic sessions with young people (aged 12-25)
  • offering community-based programmes aimed at better informing, supporting, educating and empowering young people and those around them, in places where they live, learn, work and play
  • undertaking pioneering research and robust evaluation leading to transformative evidence
  • providing a wide range of e-mental health supports through jigsaw.ie
  • rolling out a comprehensive secondary schools programme (One Good School™) aimed at supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people by developing a shared responsibility for mental health across the whole school community.

Jigsaw offer a listening ear, and give expert mental health advice and support to young people. They provide families, teachers, and those who support young people ways to cope and the skills to be there for young people.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Core job requirements

  • Successful Corporate partnerships have been central of our growth and impact and are a key strategic priority. We current are, and have in the past, partnered with some of best-known companies and brands in Ireland including Lidl, FAI, Three, Starbucks, National Lottery, Medtronic, IDA plus many more. You will be a lead in managing, supporting and enhancing our existing corporate partnerships, to ensure growth in income and retention
  • You will coordinate and support all corporate fundraising activity, campaign, providing excellent supporter communications and care, to increase recruitment, drive income growth and reduce attrition.
  • Developing new, innovative and engaging digital fundraising offerings for Corporate Ireland is one of our key priority fundraising development objectives. You will collaborate with colleagues in the fundraising and communications team to develop existing and new digital fundraising campaigns from research, to concept creation, content and copy development, pitching, planning, implementation and performance analysis.
  • You will support the research, preparation and submission of applications to philanthropic grant giving organisations to support our ambitious organisational strategy.
  • You will liaise with other departments within Jigsaw, particularly our colleagues in youth Mental Health Promotion, to support the ongoing development and implementation of our Corporate Wellbeing programme.
  • Alongside our communications colleagues, you will support the design and development of promotional materials. You will help maintain and manage stock levels of resources, merchandise and materials.
  • In line with Jigsaw's core beliefs, you will involve and work closely with young people in the development and rollout of all campaign activities.
  • With a strong understanding of the inbound marketing environment to drive engagement and leads and experience of maximising donor relationships you will update, and seek opportunities to grow, our database.

Requirements

Essential Criteria:

  • You have a minimum of 2 year's relevant experience
  • You are passionate about supporting young people with their mental health and achieving change in Irish society.
  • You possess strong negotiation, networking and influencing skills and have experience of managing and supporting corporate and / or third-party relationships.
  • You are a strong communicator, proficient in presenting, public speaking and digital communications.
  • You have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and possess the skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
  • You are insight-driven and committed to quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office
  • You have experience with Salesforce or similar supporter CRM
  • You have excellent organisation and time management skills
  • You can communicate and collaborate with co-workers in a team-oriented environment
  • You demonstrate initiative and drive for results

Desirable Criteria:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Fundraising
  • An understanding of online media including media strategy, performance analysis, social media, CRO, Google Analytics and SEO etc. would be an advantage.
  • An understanding and experience of the not-for-profit sector would be an asset.
  • Ability to create and edit video would be an advantage.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  •  

This role also requires the ability to travel for work and the willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends, as required.

Benefits

The salary range for Officers is €30,000 - €40,000, commensurate with skills & experience.
