The Role

Oxfam Ireland is currently looking for a Volunteer Strategy Manager who will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to attract, engage, and retain volunteers by building relationships with the public, government agencies, local councils, corporates and internal stakeholders.  

The role will involve collaborating with all internal and external stakeholders to understand volunteer and organisational needs whilst creating a supportive environment and ensuring that volunteer efforts align with the organisation's mission and goals fulfilling key volunteer targets identified by heads of department.

To be considered for the role, candidates should possess a range of skills and experience including:

  • Third level qualification in Nonprofit Management, Human Resources, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience within a volunteer management, non-profit management, or related area.
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of volunteers and staff.
  • Proficiency in using volunteer management software and tools.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
