Helium Arts is Seeking to Employ a Volunteer Services Manager

Helium Arts is seeking a motivated, experienced and highly organised  Volunteer Services Manager to deliver an efficient and effective volunteer support network for Helium Arts to enable the organisation to support children and young people living with lifelong physical health conditions to participate in creative activities and workshops with an encouraging, supportive, inclusive and fun environment. The Volunteer Services Manager is a new role in the organisation and will support the organisation in its next phase of scale and growth. The successful candidate will form part of the management structure.

This role will support the charity through a strategic period of gradual scaling, successfully growing our volunteer programme across five hubs across the country. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team at an exciting point in the organisation's development where the successful candidate will be making a huge and varied contribution to the work of Helium Arts. 

The Volunteer Services Manager requires excellent managerial, leadership, and problem solving skills plus an ability to strongly advocate for the children we support. The manager will be flexible and capable of managing competing priorities within their workload and will have a robust knowledge of volunteering in Ireland.  

Helium Arts is the national children's arts and health charity, developing the creativity of children living with long-term conditions to support wellbeing including their social connections, self-esteem, and sense of agency. The children and young people we work with include those with disabilities, lifelong physical health conditions and those from migrant and refugee backgrounds.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a first round interview on Zoom during the week beginning 25th November, with some candidates being invited to a second round interview in person in Mullingar during the week beginning 2nd December. NB not all shortlisted candidates will be invited to second round interviews.
