Title: Design Assistant

Reports to: Designer

Contract type: Fixed-Term contract (6 months)

Hours: Full time - 9am – 5pm Mon to Fri (35hrs per week)

Location: The Society operates a hybrid working model with a combination of remote and in-person (Dublin 4 office) working.

Office attendance days are Wednesdays & Thursdays

Salary: €40,000 per annum

A design assistant will play a key part in building the identity of one of Ireland's largest NGOs, helping deliver information and campaigns to the entire country across a wide range of demographics and audiences.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Your role will be to support the delivery of communication and visual materials to help those affected by a cancer diagnosis. You will be responsible for bringing a wide variety of projects to life in line with the Society's brand guidelines through the Society's various channels. You will work with the Brand and Marketing team, Communications, Patient Education, Fundraising and various other departments to identify the best solutions for each project to return and improve drafts based on the team's feedback. 

Working with the wider cross-organisational team in the Society, you will be expected to engage with campaign planning meetings and provide insight and support, as well as suggestions to improve workflows and find possible issues ahead of time.

As part of the brand and marketing team team you will utilise programs and analytics to ensure projects and deliverables are being tracked and returned effectively.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

·        At least two years professional experience in graphic or digital design

·        Experience with the Adobe software suite or equivalent, and the interest to learn about them further.

·        A portfolio showing some examples of both print and digital design.

·        Preference will be given to those with video editing or photography experience.
