Head of Business Development

Permanent Contract, 39 hours

Head Office, Park West, Co. Dublin

Job Purpose

To bring innovative service solutions to scale and develop new business opportunities by leading a team focused on creating new business, designing new service responses based on emerging evidence, national policy and best practice; responding to funder's requirements and developing innovative service solutions.

 

Minimum Education & Skills required

-           3 -5 years' experience at a senior level in new business development and demonstrable track record of developing new solutions for people who use services and meeting their needs in relation to care, learning and/or employability.

-           A third level qualification or equivalent (NFQ8) in one of the following areas: business process or service design and/or innovation, business development, finance, data analysis, wide-scale change management or implementation science, or equivalent.

-           Strong experience in bidding and tender submission.

-           Full clean driver's licence.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

·       Lead and unify the Business Development, Service Design and Innovation function across Rehab Group into a focused structure in order to more effectively seek and secure new business opportunities and grow the business base - expanding the reach of service within Ireland.

·       Lead business development, bidding, and tender submissions, unifying and coordinating the Group's strategic business development, bidding and tender submission processes.

·       Devise dynamic and evidence-based service solutions that meet the needs of the people who use our services through liaison and collaboration with Heads of functions, departments and divisions.

·       Promote and recommend innovative service designs emanating from new research and promising practice, to include replicating successful strategies across the Group.

 

Additional requirements

-           Experience of leading and planning over significant timescales (circa 1 year or more) either through service/programme management responsibility or via a strategic commissioning, policy and/or advisory role.

-           Passion, energy and drive for excellence in learning, care and employability.

-           Work flexibly, out of hours and be prepared for occasional overseas travel.

-           Experience of planning, managing and monitoring the use of available resources, focusing on productivity in order to align the use of resources with the strategy for the overall service area.
