Job Title: Alumni Data Assistant – (Data Integrity Analyst)

 

Role Summary

 

About UCD Foundation: UCD Foundation works to support University College Dublin in its pursuit of world-class education, teaching, research and innovation. The Foundation is engaged in fundraising activity for transformational, multi-year development programmes.

 

Purpose of the role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Integrity Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our organisation's data. As a Data Integrity Analyst working within our Information Services team, you will be responsible for performing data quality assessments, identifying data issues, implementing data governance processes, and collaborating with various teams to produce reports and resolve data-related challenges.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Implement best practice guidelines for data integrity
  • Investigate data anomalies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions
  • Build relationships with key internal stakeholders and respond to their database needs, generating queries and reports as required
  • Validate and verify new data
  • Update the relevant databases (obtaining current and historical data), develop new data sets, and generate insights based on requirements

The Data Integrity Analyst will drive the University's goal of increasing alumni engagement and development and help to improve database integrity and increase alumni contactability.

 

 

Person Specifications & Qualifications:

 

Education Standards: 

·       A third-level qualification or professionally trained with appropriate qualifications

 

Requirements:

  • Review and analyse incoming data for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established guidelines
  • Implement data governance policies and procedures to maintain data accuracy and consistency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data-related problems
  • Develop and maintain data validation and verification processes
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation in data management
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data integrity and data management
  • Implement data update measures in a cost effective and time bound manner
  • Ensure data from other sources' feeds is timely, complete, and accurate
  • Data visualization, including the creation of dashboards (Tableau)

Additional Skills:

 

·       Experience using The Raiser's Edge, Salesforce or similar CRM database

·       Computer literate – experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

·       Experience with student/alumni database

·       Experience with Project management tools

·       Experience with Tableau

Desirable attributes: 

  • An understanding of GDPR compliance and e-privacy regulations
  • Have experience with Tableau and Excel and be comfortable using functions such as Vlookups and Pivot Tables, Macros
  • Automation skills utilizing SQL, and Power Query, which are not required but provide an advantage
  • Be able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to work with teams and coordinating their activities with business needs

UCD Foundation employees are located on the UCD Belfield campus. We take a hybrid approach to being on site with three days a week on site and up to two days a week working from home (there may be a requirement to be on site for additional days during probation period).

 

Salary and Benefits:

·       Attractive basic salary (€30,000 p.a.)

Additional details/ Application process

 

The contract for the Data Integrity Analyst is initially for three years, subject to a satisfactory probationary period. The successful candidate will be subject to a probationary period of six months.
