Trinity Development & Alumni (TDA) leads on fundraising and alumni engagement for Trinity College Dublin.  We are seeking a talented and innovative In-House Multimedia Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to enhancing TDA's visual presence across digital and print media.

 

As the In-House Multimedia Designer, you will be responsible for creating compelling and innovative visual design solutions that strengthen TDA's visual presence in digital and print media. The role demands a creative individual who can work across multiple platforms to deliver engaging content that meets the strategic goals of the organization and brings concepts and ideas to life. 

 

Candidates with knowledge of graphic design across a variety of mediums and experience in multimedia design and/or digital media, aligned with the skills detailed below, would be suitable for this role and encouraged to apply.

 

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities specified below are not intended to be exclusive or restrictive and flexibility in the allocation of duties is expected. As this is a new role, the responsibilities may grow over time as your skill and experience develop to meet the requirements of the organisation. As our In-House Multimedia Designer, you will be responsible for:

 

1.      Concept Development: Generate creative ideas and concepts alongside the Head of Marketing to meet TDA's objectives, collaborating closely with the marketing and communication teams to ensure alignment with overall brand strategy.

2.      Design and Production: Create high-quality multimedia content including graphics, motion graphics, videos, and interactive elements for various digital platforms and print media.

3.      Project Management: Manage multiple projects from concept through completion, working under tight deadlines and adapting to changing priorities and technologies.

4.      Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including graphic designers, web developers, and marketing specialists to integrate multimedia elements with other projects.

5.      Brand Consistency: Ensure all multimedia content is consistent with our brand identity, enhancing the brand's visibility and coherence across all media platforms.

6.      Feedback Implementation: Revise and edit work based on feedback from stakeholders to meet the desired outcomes and quality standards.

7.      Other duties: Undertake other such duties as may be required from time-to-time by your line manager. Contribute to team goals by delivering high quality support and participating in development projects.

 

Key Relationships

You will be expected to engage proactively with a wide range of stakeholders including TDA colleagues, Trinity personnel and external agencies and suppliers.

 

Qualifications & Experience

·        Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.

·        Minimum five years of professional design experience, preferably in an in-house role or agency.

·        Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro.

·        Strong demonstrable skills in graphic design for publications, motion graphics, video production, and web design, supported by a portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects.

·        Good working knowledge of digital content software including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

·        Clear understanding of graphic design principles with the ability to translate ideas into complete projects.

·        Experience in using Shorthand is an advantage.

·        Excellent understanding of colour theory, typography, and visual composition.

·        Skilful communicator with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts.

·        Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·        An appetite to pursue professional development and upskilling.
