About the NMH Foundation

The National Maternity Hospital Foundation raises funds for The National Maternity Hospital (The NMH) at Holles Street, which provides world class perinatal, neonatal, and maternal care to more than 7,000 patients every year.

Driven by our desire to help women and babies to thrive, arrive, survive, our focus is on advancing women's health and neonatal care in Ireland. We raise vital funds to invest in research, to provide vital equipment and technology within the hospital, and to support the work of the care teams and support services caring for mothers and tiny babies at The National Maternity Hospital 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

 

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the incredible team that raises vital, life-saving funds to support mothers, and babies born in The NMH.

The Supporter Care Executive will focus on growing and developing donor relationships across the Foundation's fundraising activities, events and campaigns. They will play an integral role in providing administrative support for events and campaigns and will be responsible for donor data and administration, making sure that our donors receive excellent service and communications.

 

Key responsibilities

Donor Care

·        Be the first point of contact for our donors and supporters, providing a warm and compassionate relationship via all channels including social media, email, phone and direct mail.

·        Ensure that donors and event participants receive communications and merchandise within agreed timescales.

·        Maintain accurate and up to date supporter records, data and financial information on the CRM (Donorfy) and ensure compliance with data protection and privacy policies.

·        Support the development of the NMH Foundation's regular giving programme (Pitter Patter Club) by delivering a positive, engaging stewardship experience for new and existing monthly donors.

·        Maintain the NMH Foundation's online presence including website and social media platforms, ensuring content is relevant, up to date and engaging and that supporter queries through these channels are responded to in a timely manner.

 

 Fundraising Administration and Development

·        Support the NMH Foundation's campaigns, events and activities, engaging supporters from individual and community audiences, who have potential to generate income for the NMH Foundation.

·        Assist in the development of engaging marketing and communications and materials to share with donors through post, email, social media and over the phone.

·        Responsible for building strong relationships with supporters, ensuring that the NMH Foundation's supporter promise is fulfilled.

·        Work closely with key stakeholders, including medical and research staff to develop messaging and impact, through content and stories.

·        Deliver a programme of staff awareness and engagement within The NMH, ensuring that all staff on site are kept informed and engaged in the work of the NMH Foundation and its impact on patient experience within the hospital.

 

Miscellaneous

·        Research and generate ideas for excellent donor care and participate in ongoing training and development in fundraising and communications. 

 

About You

·        All levels of education and experience will be considered, however experience in a fundraising administrative role, or similar, will be an advantage.

·        Excellent communication, relationship and customer care skills.

·        Excellent attention to detail and data entry skills are essential.

·        Experience in database management. Knowledge of Donorfy is an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

·        Excellent planning and organisational skills, with proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise time and resources.

·        To succeed in this role, you will be a self-starter with high personal standards and have the ability to pursue goals with drive and energy.

 

Terms

·        Salary - depending on experience.

·        Full time permanent position (35 hours per week).

·        25 days annual leave plus Christmas Eve, Good Friday.

·        The nature of this role requires the majority of time to be spent in the office in Dublin 2, flexible working (a mix of home / office based) is facilitated and embraced wherever possible.
