The Opportunity

For more than 50 years, Trócaire has been synonymous with giving in Ireland. The Fundraising & Marketing Team (F&M) is responsible for raising public income, recruiting new supporters, retaining existing supporters and growing our relevance by creating a better connection with Trócaire's work and its impact. The team proudly won Ireland's 'Fundraising Team of the Year' award in 2019 and 2022 and an exciting new role has been created within our award-winning team.

Reporting to the Donor Experience Manager, the Donor Experience Assistant will help to drive insight and donor led fundraising and marketing activities across the entire team, through multiple channels. They will be part of a team who will champion the voice of existing and potential donors based on donor feedback, attitudes and behaviour, external data, and insights.

Reporting to the Donor Experience Manager, this role also supports the Digital Marketing Officer.

Contribute to delivery of our overall F&M strategy, driving net income through our key pillars: Relevance, Retention & Recruitment. Work with colleagues across the F&M team to ensure all campaigns and donor audiences are considered. Specifically:

Work with the Donor Experience Manager to:

  • Map new and existing donor journeys across all key touch points.
  • Update templates and manage emails as part of our annual donor connection survey and other bespoke donor surveys via Survey Monkey platform which integrates with our CRM.
  • Manage day-to-day running of outbound calling campaigns with external call centre partner.
  • Audit (through mystery shopping & desk research) and refine processes and activities.

Work with the Digital Marketing Officer to:

  • Maintain and build new email donor journey's.
  • Build and send fundraising emails based on pre-existing template.
  • Update email elements of pre-existing marketing journeys.
  • Maintain and build new social media marketing campaigns on Meta advertising platform.
  • Create and maintain marketing campaigns on other social media advertising platforms.

Work with the Donor Services team to:

  • Ensure a streamlined approach to procedures around new donor welcome processes, with a focus on donor centricity and to help embed donor optimisation opportunities.

 

Donor Identity & Insights

Work with the Donor Experience Manager to:

  • Understand and take learnings from external best-practice benchmarking projects and internal testing for the entire F&M team & co-ordinate research update meetings for the team.
  • Maintain a library of A/B tests, documenting hypotheses and results.
  • Support established and build new multi-channel supporter connection surveys and welcome surveys to solicit donor feedback, commitment, and satisfaction levels.
  • Launch new innovative ways to gather donor feedback, such as online feedback widgets.
  • Assist with annual audit of GDPR and data-capture approach, assessing vs. best practice and impact on donor LTV.

 

Data & CRM (Customer Relationship Management)

  • Work closely with the Data team as we strengthen our position as a data driven organisation. Duties to include data input, data hygiene and reporting/analysis requirements as necessary.

What we can offer you:

For the candidate with the required experience and passion for the role, Trócaire offers a competitive package of salary and benefits, including a generous pension and flexible working options.This is a permanent role, based in either our Maynooth or Belfast office and offering Hybrid working. The salary range is €34,000 - €38,000 (ROI) / £26,500 - £28,000 (NI).
