Interim Senior Manager - Public Fundraising

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join an established, busy, and dynamic Fundraising & Communications Department. The post of Interim Senior Manager – Public Fundraising (Maternity Cover) is responsible for over 30% of the Department's annual income and is a senior position in the team with four direct reports. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and Communications, the Senior Manager Partnerships and Philanthropy and the Senior Manager Individual Giving, the post holder will have responsibility for delivering innovation and increased funds from large scale events & campaigns and community fundraising as well as delivering marketing & comms for the area, volunteer development, ambassador development and GDPR and procurement compliance within the Department.

Essential requirements:

  • Relevant third level qualification at degree level in Fundraising, business, project management, marketing, event management or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience working in a fast-paced events / campaigns / marketing environment
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a management / senior role in relevant area with demonstrable achievements
  • A strategic thinker with proven capability in driving successful fundraising at the scale of OLH&CS
  • Proven and relevant experience with a demonstrable track record of delivering on strategic objectives and innovation maximising income/ROI
  • Experience in marketing, advertising/PR, digital marketing
  • Experience in the use of CRM systems
  • Experience managing 3rd Party agencies
  • Experience in budget management
  • A strong background in project management with a proven track record of delivering on objectives.
  • A strong background in 3rd party agency management
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office packages: i.e. Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint etc.
