Financial Controller (Care)

Fixed-Term (12 months), 39 hours

Park West, Dublin

 

Job Purpose

The post-holder will be responsible for leading the finance function within the RehabCare (Care) division in the co-ordination, delivery and management of an efficient and effective Finance Function. They will drive RehabCare (Care) financial excellence through comprehensive month-end close, strategic financial analysis, collaborative budgeting, and efficient management of bookkeeping, transactions, and regulatory compliance.

 

Minimum Education & Skills Required

-           Qualified Chartered or Management Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).

-           5+ years of financial management experience.

-           Proficient in Excel.

-           Ability to identify and address critical financial challenges.

-           Understanding and experience of not-for-profit sector (desirable).

-           Experience working with Sun Accounting or similar accounting package.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

-           Prepare and present comprehensive monthly management accounts reports for review and approval in line with Group reporting instructions and Strategic Plan.

-           Prepare statutory Financial Statements for audit and presentation to the Board for approval, ensuring consistency with the Group accounting policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.

-           Conduct thorough financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities to drive the implementation and delivery of the RehabCare and Group business plan.

-           Lead and manage a Finance team (10), to include supervising day-to-day accounting activities, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

-           Collaborating with RehabCare (Care) Operations to develop precise budget forecasts and monitoring of financial performance.

-           Implement best practices to improve the overall financial administration of the company, to include addressing outstanding internal audit and management letter points, developing, reviewing and implementing Group Finance policies and procedures.
