The Opportunity
Are you a dynamic storyteller with a passion for global justice? Trócaire is seeking a dedicated Communications and Digital Content Officer to join our team. Your role: craft compelling stories, curate multimedia content, and engage diverse audiences across our channels. Collaborate not only with our Communications Team but also with colleagues across our organisation and international offices—contributing to initiatives and elevating our storytelling capabilities. With 3+ years of content creation experience, digital literacy, and a proactive attitude, join us in making a difference.
An exciting aspect of this role includes regular overseas travel to capture authentic stories.

You will report to the Digital Communications Manager, the job opportunity will be offers a full-time permanent contract and will be based in Maynooth or Belfast.
The ideal candidate for the Communications and Digital Content Officer role at Trócaire should be a skilled storyteller with a keen understanding of digital content habits. Essential attributes include adaptability to evolving platforms, as well as excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. They should bring a minimum of three years' experience in writing and editing, along with two years' experience in photography, videography, and conducting interviews. Valued qualities include being a self-starter, possessing meticulous attention to detail, enthusiasm for travel, and a proactive team player.
Additionally, an interest in Trócaire's work, prior experience in overseas travel to the Global South, and familiarity of content performance metrics would be beneficial.
