Job purpose
Barnardos is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Campaigns & Events Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the implementation of Barnardos annual fundraising campaigns (both online and offline) and will provide admin support on a variety of activities with the objective to help raise voluntary income for Barnardos' work with children and families.

• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and other IT applications
• Strong planning and administration skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written skills, a confident communicator
• Enthusiastic, warm friendly manner
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• Initiative and flexibility, able to adapt to changing requirements
• Effective time management skills: and an ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload, prioritising own workload and meeting deadlines
• Sound understanding of GDPR and Data Protection legislation
• Keen to learn and strive for continuous improvement
Experience
• 2 years' experience in a fundraising/administration role and office environment
• Experience of working with CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics an advantage
• Experience working with email platforms such as Click Dimensions desirable
• Experience of Canva (or similar) and/or experience of video editing desirable
• Exposure to other elements of fundraising would be beneficial but is not essential
Qualifications
• Leaving certificate or equivalent
• Relevant third level qualification desirable but not essential; or relevant experience gained either in the corporate or voluntary sector
The post-holder is initially assigned to work at Barnardos National Office, Dublin 8 but may be required in the future to work in other locations in the Dublin area in line with organisational needs. Currently hybrid role with both remote/ home-working and office-based days.
