Payzone is Ireland's largest consumer payments network with over 300 million transactions annually. We are now seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a wonderful opportunity for a self-starter with strong negotiating skills — someone with a track record of success who can inspire the same in others. The role requires an individual with a sharp mind and an aptitude to grow and maintain lasting relationships with all stakeholders, working to the highest possible standards.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and sales skills, be extremely organized and dedicated. Enthusiastic and comfortable dealing with people with a strong ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.

 Key tasks and responsibilities

·      Develop and manage the sales pipeline, conduct high volume prospecting to generate qualified leads.

·      Develop key accounts target list, and gain greater understanding of each charity, their context, their fundraising capability, and their key staff.

·      Schedule and provide online/ on-site product demonstrations & deliver presentations to prospective clients where appropriate.

·      Advise the prospect clients on the best solution for their charity.

·      Handle inbound calls relating to new sales requests and existing customer queries.

·      Assist the team with the strategic sales plan that expands Payzone's customer base and reinforces our strong presence across the market.

·      Meet planned goals and co-ordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth enablement of new customers.

·      Manage customer base to ensure customer drop-off levels are kept to a minimum.

·      Achieve growth and hit monthly targets by successfully boarding new clients.

·      Network and engage with the key audiences in the charity space.

·      Run regular report back to management.

Skills and Qualifications 

·      Proven experience in a Business Development and/or charity fundraising role

·      Must speak fluent English.

·      Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

·      Excellent communication and sales skills.

·      Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

·      Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·      Self-motivated individual with drive, enthusiasm, and commitment.

 Terms

·      Full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours)

·      Competitive salary (€45k - €55k depending on experience)

·      21 days annual leave

·      Paid expenses

·      Based in Dublin with hybrid working arrangements in place

·      All candidates must be able to drive and have access to a car and have the right to work in Ireland
