The position will provide direction and coordination to the work of the Irish Red Cross Migration team for Ukraine. The purpose of the programme is to source and utilise pledged properties for Ukraine refugees in an efficient manner, to the benefit of the Ukraine refugees and in support of Pledge/hosts, ensuring full reporting on all activities.
The Job Holder will report to the Migration Services Programme Manager.
Key Activities
· To lead and report to Programme Manager on planning, scheduling and development of project activities
· Liaise with clients, government authorities, implementing partners and project stakeholders
· Review, monitor and report actual progress against project objectives
· Coordinate programme review workshops with project team and stakeholders
· Act as Irish Red Cross' representative as necessary
· Play an active role as a member of the programme management team
· Manage risks, issues and resources to ensure milestone dates and outcomes are achieved
· Ensure the Register of Pledges and its CRM are effectively used and outcomes reported on
· Maintain strong links with major implementing partners, NGO's, donors and government agencies.
· Ensure all pledgers are communicated with in a speedy manner and kept briefed on their pledge journey
· Coordinate with Caseworker/Team Leader the Caseworker active case load and ensure the Team Leader and Caseworkers are supported
Required Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
· Ability to work under pressure and deliver in a fast-paced environment
· Third level qualification in relevant discipline or project management
· 5 years' experience in humanitarian work or project management of operations that deliver to multiple users
· Understanding of project design and proposal writing.
· Good understanding of GDPR requirements
· Strong capacity building, facilitation and communication skills
· Ability to pursue thoroughness and appropriate attention to detail
· Capacity to identify gaps, trends, priorities and key issues.
· Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and contribute to a team working environment
· Ability to interpret and present information with influence and impact
· Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible world view, emotional maturity
· Ability to maintain performance expectations in psychologically stressful environments
TRAVEL AND/OR WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENT
· The position requires travel domestically and outside Ireland from time to time
· Competent in written and verbal communication in English
· Own transport /driving license an advantage
