Title: Fundraising Officer

Location: Dublin (Hybrid)

Start Date: Immediate

Full Time/Permanent - 5 days per week

Salary - €38,000 DOE

The key focus of this role is to raise funds (both restricted and unrestricted) for HOPE's work in Kolkata.

The Fundraising Officer will drive, manage and grow HOPE fundraising activities and increase awareness about the work of HOPE.

They will work in very close collaboration with HOPE's Fundraising and School teams, across all aspects of this role.

The Fundraising Officer will support volunteers to organise HOPE events and individual fundraising endeavors. They will build and maintain excellent relationships with all relevant (existing and new) fundraising stakeholders: i.e. event sponsors, donors, supporters, volunteers etc.

There will be the opportunity to travel overseas to Kolkata to visit HOPE's projects.

Key Responsibilities

Raise funds for HOPE's work in Kolkata

Grow and increase funds raised for HOPE across the Dublin & Leinster region

Identify and initiate new fundraising activities

Identify possible fundraising opportunities with prospective donors/fundraisers

Maintain and develop fundraising/supporters databases.

Set realistic and achievable fundraising targets in collaboration with the fundraising and school teams.

Provide/compile fundraising materials for HOPE supporters

Off-site support at HOPE events, presentations, fundraisers etc. as required

Person Specifications for this Role:

Minimum 1 years proven track record in raising funds and/or sales

Genuine interest in, and passionate about the work of HOPE

Target-driven and focused work ethic

Networking ability across a range of stakeholders

Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) skills

Ability to exploit fundraising opportunities

Excellent MS Office skills particularly in Excel and Word

Proactive in identifying and delivering on new fundraising opportunities

Excellent interpersonal skills with strong customer/donor focus

Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities

Meticulous and thorough with excellent attention to detail

Ability to represent HOPE publicly

Confidence in working on own initiative and ability to work under direction when required.

Full clean driving license
