Job Purpose

This role is central to advancing the St John of God Foundation's five-year strategy by building meaningful relationships and inspiring communities to support our life-changing community services. The Community & Events Fundraising Coordinator will develop and grow community and events fundraising initiatives, delivering impactful experiences for supporters while generating sustainable income to enhance the lives of those we serve.

Background

The St John of God Foundation supports essential health and social care services across Ireland. Through programmes such as the Better Life Programme, the Foundation funds initiatives that improve quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities, mental health needs, and complex care requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Income Growth

Develop and implement a strategic Community & Events Fundraising Plan with the Community and Events Fundraising Manager and Director of Fundraising Communications and BI, to grow income through innovative campaigns and strong supporter engagement. Building a sustainable pipeline of fundraising opportunities through a philosophy of strong fundraising relationships.

Community & Events Development

Deliver a national calendar of community and fundraising events. Build relationships with schools, community groups, and corporate partners, to support regional fundraising initiatives through our community services.

Supporter Engagement

Provide exceptional supporter care, acting as a key contact for fundraisers, and working with the supporter care team to deliver engaging communications, fundraising resources, and stewardship to build long-term relationships.

Collaboration

Work in collaboration with the direct marketing, business intelligence and supporter care teams to maximise impact, share stories, and strengthen campaigns through integrated communications.

Data & Reporting

Maintain accurate CRM records, monitor performance, and use data to improve fundraising outcomes.

Governance & Compliance

Ensure all fundraising activities meet best practice standards, GDPR requirements, and organisational policies.

Person Specification

Experience in fundraising, events, or a public-facing role.

Strong communication, organisational skills, and a passion for making a meaningful difference.

Strong planning and organization skills.
