The Global Employee Experience Manager is a key member of the People and Culture Team and will work to promote, support and ensure respect for Trócaire's values & culture of agility & inclusion and warmth and friendliness. Working with the Director of People and Culture, this role will lead on developing and managing the organisation's total offer to employees including recruitment, onboarding, a global reward framework, employee relations, talent management, performance management and staff engagement.
The Global Employee Experience Manager will partner with Senior Management to advise on improving operational efficiency, provide business analysis to inform effective decision making and ensure that future rewards strategies align with organisational goals.
The role will report to the Director for People and Culture and will manage a team of People and Culture Professionals. The role is based in Ireland and travel to country offices may be required.
Key responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership & Organisational Development
• Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Global People & Culture Strategy
• Provide support alongside the People & Culture Director, Global People and Culture Manager to key stakeholders to develop and implement change management and / or organisational development plans and processes at a range of levels in the organisation, as necessary and appropriate.
• Keep informed of emerging global trends and best practices in the development and humanitarian sectors in the areas of global reward, talent management, performance management and staff engagement across a wide range of country contexts, including highly regulated environments as well as fragile and conflict-affected settings.
Recruitment & Operations
• Provide leadership to the P&C Operations Team, ensuring recruitment practices, people processes and systems align with organisational goals and values, while supporting the attraction and selection of talent that reflects and strengthens the organisation's culture. Drive operational efficiency, continuous improvement and high standards of service delivery, ensuring stakeholders receive timely, responsive and effective P&C support.
Employee Experience
• Build a global approach to employee experience aligned with the People & Culture Strategy to ensure a positive and inclusive journey throughout the employee lifecycle that fosters engagement, wellbeing, and performance.
Global Reward Framework
• Oversee the development, review, and implementation of a sustainable global reward framework based on fair and transparent principles, aligned with Trócaire's mission and sector best practices.
• Manage external contractor relationships and negotiations for global benefit programs, ensuring value and cost efficiency.
• Keep informed of emerging global reward trends, especially in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.
Employee Relations & Health and Safety
• Support on management of employee relations in Ireland, fostering a proactive and constructive relationship.
• Provide leadership and guidance to management teams on employee relations matters, ensuring policies are followed and a positive working environment is promoted.
• Organisational lead for Health and Safety in all countries we operate in ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and procedures.
Talent Management
• Collaborate with the L&D Specialist and contribute to the design and implementation of talent management strategies including succession planning, career development, and internal mobility.
Performance Management
• Provide strategic input into performance conversations and frameworks that enhance individual and team performance.

Relevant third level qualification in HR or a related degree along with significant People and Culture Experience
CIPD or equivalent professional HR qualification
