CONTRACT: This is a full-time (35 hours per week, 9am – 5pm), permanent role.
SALARY: €40,000 - €45,000, depending on experience.
LOCATION: Smithfield, Dublin 7 - the role will be 5 days a week in the office. Occasional working from home may be permitted.
Founded in 1969 by Capuchin friar, Brother Kevin Crowley, and inspired by the spirit of St Francis of Assisi, the Day Centre was set up to 'relieve the hardship endured by homeless people.' Situated in Bow Street, Dublin 7, the Day Centre started out providing meals for the homeless in Dublin and has developed its services over the years to meet the needs of those who come seeking food and support. From hot meals, food parcels, showering facilities and clothing to medical, optical, dental, and family services, the Capuchin Day Centre is committed to providing practical, meaningful support to those who seek help.
In line with the values of the Irish Capuchin Friars, the Centre works on the principle that no one should go hungry and offers support that is non-judgemental, open to all, and places the dignity and respect of its guests at the heart of what it does.
This is an exciting time to join the Capuchin Day Centre as it develops its supporter care and engagement function to help resource its mission for the long term. This newly created role will build capacity within the Donor Care and Engagement function, strengthening supporter relationships, enhancing stewardship and supporting sustainable income generation.
Working closely with the Donor Care and Engagement Specialist (DCES), the role will focus on delivering a positive experience across individual, community and corporate supporters, ensuring supporters feel valued, engaged and informed about the impact of their contributions. The position will also support activity aimed at strengthening supporter retention and building long-term relationships.
The opportunity will contribute to the continued development of the Day Centre's supporter engagement activities, including CRM development, new data management systems and the organisation's social media presence.
The ideal candidate will bring experience from within the charity or non-profit sector, ideally in donor care, individual giving, supporter engagement, stewardship or a similar relationship-focused role. A genuine motivation to build meaningful supporter relationships and contribute to an organisation dedicated to supporting people in need will be central to success in the role.
The Capuchin Day Centre offers a compassionate and supportive working environment where every role contributes to making a meaningful difference.
