Helium is seeking an experienced, organised and motivated Finance Executive to oversee the finance function, ensuring strong financial governance, compliance and robust internal controls. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, qualified accountant or part-qualified accountant with experience managing finances and accounting systems. The role also provides financial insight to support organisational planning, budgeting, funding applications and strategic decision-making. The Finance Executive will supervise key financial processes undertaken by the Finance Assistant and review the work completed by the external payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working independently while contributing to the success and sustainability of a growing not-for-profit organisation.

Contract: 16-month fixed-term contract, with a 6 month probationary period, until 31.12.27

Hours: Part-time, 16 - 24 hours per week (depending on candidate) with flexible working arrangements

Salary: FTE €37,000 gross per annum (part-qualified accountant) up to €47,000 gross per annum (qualified accountant) dependent on experience 

Location: Hybrid
