Organisation Overview 

Make-A-Wish Ireland grants the wishes of children aged between 3 and 17 years living with life-threatening medical conditions to bring hope, strength and joy when it's needed most. Since 1992, Make-A-Wish Ireland has granted wishes for more than 3,600 brave children across the country, including a record 229 in 2025 alone.  

With 2026 expected to be another record year for wishes granted, it is a great time to join the organisation and make a real difference.  

The Role 

The corporate fundraising function at Make-A-Wish Ireland has experienced an exciting level of growth in the past two years, and the new Corporate Partnerships Officer will play a critical role in continuing this trajectory. Working closely with the Corporate Fundraising Manager and the wider fundraising team, you will help to build sustainable growth through innovative and impactful partnerships and initiatives, ultimately helping to make more life-changing wishes come true.   

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing fundraising team at an impactful children's charity.   

Key Responsibilities 

As the Corporate Partnerships Officer, your key responsibilities will include:  

  • Business Development:Working with the Corporate Fundraising Manager to set up pitches with potential new corporate partners. This will include prospecting, cold calling, messaging, setting up meetings, and supporting proposals and presentations.  
  • Account Management: Managing, retaining, and growing partnerships with a book of small to medium sized corporate partners. This could include goal setting, event organisation, staff presentations, cheque presentations, regular communications, and reporting. Travel will be involved.   
  • Events:Working closely with the community and marketing teams in organising events like the Croke Park Abseil, Wish Week, Walk for Wishes, and the Amgen Irish Open. This can involve logistical planning, promotion, and volunteer/fundraiser recruitment.   
  • Content: Working with the Corporate Fundraising Manager and Marketing Executive to create compelling corporate content, including videos, social media posts, and partner communication materials to enhance engagement and drive fundraising efforts within the corporate ecosystem.  
  • Data Management:Ensuring proper data management, including CRM logging of organisations, efficient communication, and prompt acknowledgment of donor contributions i.e. call, letter, and email thank yous.  
  • Reporting: Producing high quality reports for campaigns and partnerships that include recommendations to inform and improve future fundraising.  
  • Additional: Additional responsibilities may be assigned to you by the Corporate Fundraising Manager over the course of the role.   

  

Experience/Skills: 

Your qualifications and skills should include:  

  • 2+ years' fundraising, sales, or account management experience. Charity experience is preferable but not mandatory.   
  • Track record of achieving or exceeding sales/fundraising targets.   
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Canva, PowerPoint, or similar softwares.   
  • Full clean driving license and access to a car for travel to partner sites and events.   
  • Strong communication (written, verbal, and interpersonal), organizational, and administrative capabilities.  
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, team-oriented, detail-oriented, and adaptable.  
  • Comfortable working under pressure and against targets.
