Who we are

At the Irish Cancer Society, we have a vision that by 2025, 3 out of 4 Irish cancer patients will survive their diagnosis and everyone affected by the disease will have access to world-class treatment, care and support.

A key priority for achieving our vision is to increase our investment in world class cancer research. Every year, we fund patient-focused cancer research from translational and clinical projects in areas such as early detection, novel cancer treatments and clinical trials, right through to research focussed on cancer prevention, improvements in care, wellbeing and outcomes of those living with, through and beyond a cancer diagnosis, in addition to research to support those at end of life.

This position will be central to achieving this goal, and the individual appointed will play a central role in coordinating the day to day running of research programmes and partnerships across the Irish Cancer Society.
