Purpose of the Role

This role provides essential administrative, CRM, and supporter care support across GOAL's fundraising campaigns and events. Working closely with the Community Fundraising & Events Manager, the Fundraising Campaigns & Events Executive helps ensure the smooth delivery of GOAL's key campaigns, including the GOAL Mile, Shamrocks for GOAL, Jersey Day, the GOAL Ball, and the GOAL Golf Classic, while providing excellent stewardship to supporters, schools, volunteers, and community groups.

This is an entry‑level position, ideal for someone looking to build their experience in fundraising operations, supporter care, and event administration.

Key Responsibilities

Supporter Stewardship & Administration

  • Deliver prompt, professional supporter care (thank‑you letters, acknowledgements, impact updates).
  • Maintain accurate supporter, event, and donation records in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, ensuring compliance with data protection standards.
  • Manage fundraising inboxes and respond to queries in a timely, helpful manner.
  • Support volunteers, schools, and community groups with clear information and excellent service.
  • Assist with presentations or school talks when required.

Campaign & Event Support

  • Provide administrative and on the ground support for GOAL's fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Coordinate logistics such as stock management, postal packs, merchandise, courier bookings, and storeroom organisation.
  • Support online and offline event setup, registration, and general event operations as needed.
  • Assist with communications and basic digital content to help promote campaign participation.
  • Work with GOAL's fundraising platforms and make updates to GOAL's fundraising website to keep information accurate and participant friendly.
  • Liaise with suppliers (printers, couriers, designers, platforms) to ensure smooth delivery of materials and tasks.

Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience in an administrative, events, or fundraising support role.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident, friendly communicator, comfortable engaging supporters and volunteers.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to complete hands‑on operational tasks (stock, postal duties, event setup, etc.).
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends during busy campaign periods.
  • Ability to travel within Ireland/Northern Ireland when required.

Desirable

  • Full, clean driving licence and access to a car.

 

*GOAL offers staff flexible working with our hybrid model, we require our HQ employees to work 2 days per week from our office in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin**
