As Deputy Director, Major Gifts, you will lead and empower a high-performing fundraising team to reach ambitious goals. You'll partner with colleagues across Trinity and build relationships with external stakeholders to secure transformative philanthropic support that enables lasting impact. You'll also personally manage a portfolio of major donors, dedicating up to half your time to securing six-figure gifts.

Salary: €95,000-105,000, commensurate with experience

 Key Role Responsibilities: 

  • Team Management: Lead, motivate, and support a high-performing fundraising team to achieve ambitious annual goals. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and impact-driven culture. 
  • Fundraising & Donor Engagement: Manage a portfolio of major donors (six-figures+), cultivating and securing transformational gifts. Build lasting relationships with donors, alumni, and partners, representing Trinity nationally and internationally to advance its mission. 
  • Coordination & Collaboration: Work with colleagues across Development, Alumni, and university teams to strengthen operations, enhance donor engagement, and drive Trinity's philanthropic strategy. 
  • Role Requirements: Hybrid role with regular campus presence, national and international travel, and flexibility for occasional evening and weekend commitments. 

 

The Person:  

A strategic, results-driven fundraiser with: 

  • A degree-level education and 10+ years' professional experience, including 5+ in major gift fundraising. 
  • A strong track record in securing six-figure+ philanthropic gifts. 
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams. 
  • Deep understanding of major gift principles and donor engagement. 
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders. 
  • Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation and impact.
