We advocate for an effective and inclusive Early Years and School Age care system which values, supports, and invests in childhood, children and services.

The Role

In line with Early Childhood Ireland's Strategic Plan 2021-2026, the Policy Officer supports the organisation's public affairs role in influencing public policy in Ireland and internationally, through effective legislative scrutiny and analysis, as well as ongoing engagement with our members and with policy makers. As a key member of the Policy, Advocacy and Campaigning (PAC) team, the Policy Officer develops position papers and briefings which are focused on our two ambitions, and which bring evidence from research and from members' experience to the fore. The role reports to the Director of Policy, and the successful candidate will be highly motivated, have excellent policy and research analysis skills, and a track record in engagement with decision makers.
